Waveforms™ Self-Service
Improving the patient experience starts with the patient.
A self-service solution allows patients to drive their own healthcare experiences forward rather than waiting for it to happen. By reducing wait times, paperwork errors and redundant processes, satisfied patients emerge and revenues surface.
Waveforms' proprietary application architecture works within single- or multi-facility healthcare organizations. It validates and delivers information in real-time to simplify the registration process while enabling patients to become active participants in their care.
The self-service system is designed for stationary lobby installations, while tablets and other electronic devices allow registration from virtually any location within the healthcare setting for added convenience. In addition, Aurillion’s intuitive user interface can be deployed in a variety of languages to assist in capturing accurate information while providing a sense of comfort and control to patients, with sensitivity toward the users’ native languages or physical abilities.
Powered by Waveforms, Aurillion’s healthcare self-service solutions enable:
- Easy patient identification: A magnetic strip reader or two-dimensional barcode scans the patient’s driver’s license, health insurance card, hospital day card or other personal identification card to accurately assist in identifying the correct patient record
- Multiple language options: Allows a variety of language options for the patient to select when registering
- Wayfinding (maps & directions) assistance: Provides paper printouts with detailed directions to assist the patient with navigating to appointment location
- Electronic document signature: Allows for the presentation and completion of privacy policy, consent forms and other documents to be signed, printed and stored (or sent to host systems) electronically
- Touchscreen patient satisfaction surveys / clinical questionnaires: Offers questionnaires to gauge the patient experience or to capture important clinical data pertinent to the patient’s visit
- Real-time staff notification: Relays patient status to the appropriate registration clerk or department to anticipate the arrival of a patient who has registered through the kiosk
- Co-pay collection: Notifies and collects patient co-pay or balance due amounts prior to care
